The Friends of Edythe Dyer Library is a small group of volunteers dedicated to enhancing our library through fundraising and advocacy efforts. The Friends received a 2018 Spirit of America Foundation Tribute for commendable community service! New members are always welcome.

Here are a few of the many ways the Friends’ Bookshop sales support the library:

• Funded creation and maintenance of the front garden space
• Purchased our AED
• Purchase Penobscot Theatre and Discovery Museum passes
• Purchased tables and chairs for public and staff rooms
• Sponsor Meet the Candidates evenings
• Sponsor seasonal tea parties with speakers
