Summer Reading 2021

  • Children from birth through grade 5 may register for the program.
  • You may register at the library beginning June 14th.
  • You’ll receive a log to track your reading this summer and prizes for signing up.
  • You’ll receive prizes like chocolate lollipops and books for completing the program.
  • We are participating in the Masonic Bikes for Books program.

Outdoor Storytime!

Starting June 15th, join us on Tuesdays at 10am for an outdoor storytime at the library! 

Please wear your masks and be ready to have fun. We’ll move inside if it’s raining.

Pop-Up Storytime!

Join us for a pop-up storytime every Friday at the Hampden Farmers’ Market from 2pm to 4:30pm. 

The Farmers’ Market is held in the parking lot of St. Matthew’s Church, across from Hannaford on Western Avenue.

Chewonki Owls of Maine

July 7th at 3:30pm at the library 

Three live owls are the highlights of this program, which introduces participants to the owls native to Maine and New England. 

A one hour program for all ages.

Mad Science Summer Finale!

August 5th at 2:30pm at the park by Lura Hoit Pool

This spectacular show thrills audiences with impressive science experiments. Kids and parents alike are amazed by sizzling science, combustion and bubbly showers! Rain or shine!
